A large George IV silver toast rack by William Stroud
No longer availableA large George IV silver toast rack by William Stroud. With six scrolled divisions, an oval-shaped handle and raised on four ball feet, hallmarked London 1825; length 15.6cm, gross weight 14.35ozt. The toast rack is in generally good condition. The surface has some scratching and pitting consistent with age. The two largest pits have been photographed for review. The handle is good and strong, and the sections all appear stable. One of the feet has some wear, being worn down to the point of revealing the hollow interior; the neighbouring foot shares this wear, but a hole has not yet formed. There does not appear to be any evidence of repair, and the marks are clear and readable.
