A James I silver seal top spoon by James Cluatt. With a fig-shaped bowl, faceted tapering stem, and shaped finial with prick-dot initials 'P. H. F', hallmarked London 1617; length 15.5cm, weight 1.05ozt. The overall condition of the spoon appears good. There is some light surface scratching and pitting consistent with age. The stem has been slightly bent over time, with a slightly arched back profile. There is no evidence to suggest any repairs have taken place. The marks are largely clear and readable.
