A GEORGE IV SILVER VINAIGRETTE maker's mark W.S., Birmingham 1825, of rectangular form with a hinged cover, engine-turned decoration with raised foliate borders and reeded sides, the gilded grille with scrolls and a floral basket. 3cm wide Hallmarks are clear and well struck, the grille is splits and an area that is pushed down, signs of repairs to the hinges, the cover doesn't close flush, various dents.
