A GOOD PHULKARI EMBROIDERY, PUNJAB, EARLY 20TH CENTURY the dark aubergine ground worked in silk embroidery with tessellated feathered diamonds with large birds to the side borders and side bands of coloured diamonds, the end borders with bands of birds, part flowers and tessellated flower-heads and triangles, 244 x 131cm overall in good condition with some minor scattered losses to embroidery
