PERSALL, MANCHESTER A UNUSUAL GEORGE III FIGURED MAHOGANY LONGCASE REGULATOR CLOCK having a swan-neck pediment with pierced fretwork panels above an ogee-moulded hood door flanked by brass-capped reeded Corinthian columns, the trunk with a shaped-top door and reeded quarter columns on a canted base, enclosing a 14" arched brass dial with Arabic minute chapter ring surrounding a scroll-engraved centre with seconds and hours apertures, the arch with rolling moon phase and tidal dial, fronting an eight-day weight-driven movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell. 241cm high
