A Victorian painted paper mache face screen, the central cartouche illustrating a portrait of a lady to an ornate gilded foliate surround, 43cm x 24cm; together with a 19th century English School oval portrait of a Lady, oil on board, within a gilt gesso frame, 27cm x 18cm overall (2). Condition: Screen -Losses to paint & gilt on handle, moderate craquelure to portrait, otherwise good. Portrait - significant 20th century restoration inc. overpainting, several breaks to frames.
