A Victorian mahogany spoon-back gentleman's armchair, the continuous carved mahogany frame featuring a rounded back and deep-padded arms terminating in scrolled knuckles supported by curved uprights. The chair is upholstered in a red chenille-style fabric decorated with a woven foliate scroll pattern, finished with a matching corded trim to the edges. The low-seated frame is raised on cabriole front legs terminating in pot casters, and splayed rear legs.
