A Victorian mahogany hall chair, the cartouche-shaped back carved with bold acanthus leaf motifs, scroll volutes, and a pedimented top rail around a central circular reserve, over a solid shaped saddle seat with a rounded front, raised on turned, tapered, and reeded front legs terminating in peg feet, with swept square-section rear legs.
