A SET OF EIGHT GEORGE III STYLE MAHOGANY DINING CHAIRS in the Chippendale manner, comprising two armchairs and six single chairs, each with a serpentine cresting rail carved with acanthus and C scrolls about a central patera and with pierced scrolled terminals, the pierced splat of interlaced strapwork hung with husks, the upholstered seat within a moulded seat rail, upon cabriole front legs carved at the knee with acanthus and terminating in ball and claw feet, the rear legs square and raked, the armchairs with moulded scroll arms upon downswept acanthus carved supports.
