A late Victorian mahogany two piece compactum wardrobe, the upper section featuring a prominent moulded cornice with an intricate blind-fretwork frieze of repeating circular and geometric motifs, over a central panel fitted with an arched mirror set within a mahogany frame, flanked by two full-length doors with flame mahogany veneers and shaped gadrooned-edge moulding and central vertical carved foliate bands, opening to reveal a large hanging compartment with a horizontal rail and series of metal hooks, the separate base unit fitted with two short drawers over two long drawers, each with decorative cast brass swan-neck handles and scrolled foliate escutcheons, the whole raised on a plinth base.
