A late 19th or early 20th century oak armchair, the solid oak frame featuring a rectangular backrest and seat upholstered in a black textured rexine-style material finished with brass-coloured upholstery studs. The chair is constructed with swept arms terminating in rounded hand rests, supported by ring and bobbin-turned uprights. The front legs are similarly turned, joined to the rear square-section legs by an H-stretcher
