A George III style mahogany bureau bookcase, the upper section with a flared cornice over a carved fretwork frieze of interlaced circles, above twin glazed doors with decorative Gothic astragal glazing bars enclosing adjustable shelving, the lower section featuring a slanted fall-front desk with a brass escutcheon opening to a fitted interior, over two short and three long graduated drawers, each with cockbeaded edges and brass swan-neck handles with shaped backplates, the whole raised on bracket feet.
